Taipan is committed to maintaining a workplace free from the effects of alcohol and other drug use. As an employee, you have a duty of care to yourselves and your fellow workmates. This includes being fit for work. You have a responsibility to notify your manager if there are any factors which may adversely affect your performance including:
- People taking prescription or over-the-counter medications that may impair performance are to advise management. Such advice will be treated confidentially.
- Employees turning up for work under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be sent home immediately and suspended from employment without pay or terminated.
- A policy of zero % reading for alcohol and drugs (non-prescription) is applicable in this work place.
Taipan reserves the right to test for both alcohol and drugs.
